Here’s how to do a Front Lunge Reach Back to Front Kick? My transitions are still not very smooth but here are some things I try to keep in mind:
- Start in hovering child’s pose
- Same side foot replaces same side hand
- Open the body
- Feel the shoulder pulling back and feel the shoulder blade retract
- Back glute is fired
- Straighten your legs and reach back for back ankle
- Feel the stretch in hamstrings
- Come forward and kick through
- Tuck elbow in to find the best ab crunch
- Back to start
- Repeat on the other side
If you want to do a mini flow, try combining spinal wave movement (see previous reel tutorial) and this movement of front lunge reach back to front kick. 5 rounds of each.
