Front Lunge Reach Back to Front Kick — Get Stronger Together

Here’s how to do a Front Lunge Reach Back to Front Kick? My transitions are still not very smooth but here are some things I try to keep in mind:

  • Start in hovering child’s pose
  • Same side foot replaces same side hand
  • Open the body
  • Feel the shoulder pulling back and feel the shoulder blade retract
  • Back glute is fired
  • Straighten your legs and reach back for back ankle
  • Feel the stretch in hamstrings
  • Come forward and kick through
  • Tuck elbow in to find the best ab crunch
  • Back to start
  • Repeat on the other side

If you want to do a mini flow, try combining spinal wave movement (see previous reel tutorial) and this movement of front lunge reach back to front kick. 5 rounds of each.
