I was recently inspired by a friend to learn about wheatgrass 🌾 . After doing some research, I decided to give it a try. For the past few weeks, I start my mornings with a wheatgrass shot on an empty stomach.

Personally speaking, I like how I feel after consuming it… not quite sure how to describe it but my guts feels clean and happy. I can’t say for sure if it’s because of wheatgrass though, but I do think it is playing a big role.

Many of you wanted me to share how I use it, so here is a short video and also what I learned based on my research.

Wheatgrass is the green leaves of a young wheat plant, known as Triticum aestivum. There are many benefits from what I read, such as lowering cholesterol, reducing inflammation (might help those with conditions like arthritis and ulcerative colitis), boosting immune system and improving blood sugar levels. In addition there are some benefits related to slowing down the growth of cancer cells.

…BUT…

please note that in my research, many credible sites mentioned that the claims have not been scientifically proven. The advantages seen in the clinical trials still need to be proven in larger studies. . . No adverse events of wheatgrass have been reported based on studies I looked at, although some forms pose problems of tolerability. I’m not a medical expert, so I recommend you do your own research. While the jury is still out on the benefits of wheatgrass, it’s a natural product and there’s no harm in trying it if you’re interested. If you do try it, start with a small dose first.
